Do you look in the mirror and see changes to your skin such as loose skin, hooded eye lids, heavy jowls or lines and wrinkles? Are you worried about looking older than your years, but not keen on the thought of surgery or injections?

This new and revolutionary method is the newest Eyelift treatment without surgery.

Dramatic results can be achieved without the need for a scalpel or injectables.

About PlasmaLift

Plasma therapy is the aesthetic industry's most advanced non surgical, skin lifting and tightening treatment.  It is used with great results for wrinkle smoothing, eyelid tightening, eyelid hood reduction, smoker’s lines, marionette lines, crow’s feet, frown lines, ear lobe tightening and more, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

This innovative technology utilises plasma - formed through ionisation of atmospheric gasses - to stimulate instant contraction and tightening of skin fibres. This technology does not use scalpel or laser to remove excess skin, thereby avoiding all risks inherent to the traditional intervention.

The treatment is performed through miniature spots made with a pen type device at a certain distance one from the other to stimulate instant contraction and tightening of skin fibres.

Results can be seen immediately but continue to improve over a 6-8 week period and can last up to around 2-5 years, subjected to the number of treatments required, your life style and how you personally age. This is done all without the use for needles, scalpels, anaesthetic or costly surgery.

The treatment consists of many plasma dots spaced closely together and most areas of the face and body can be treated. The procedure normally takes up to 90 minutes to perform. Results are seen instantly although the best appearance is seen after 6-8 weeks.  The treatment is performed without causing bleeding and more importantly without causing any damage to the surrounding tissue.

1 - 3 treatments at 8 weekly intervals are recommended to give the results similar to a surgical procedure. Results can be cumulative and in some instances 2 or 3 treatments may be required to deliver optimal results.

What is Plasma?  Plasma was discovered by Sir William Crookes in 1879 an English physicist. It is a form of matter. It is also known as the 4th state, in addition to liquid, gas and solids.

Plasma pens convert electrical energy into an electrostatic energy which is then transmitted to the probe. At about 1mm from the skin, oxygen and nitrogen are mixed and the electrostatic energy produces an arc of plasma which is discharged on the surface of the skin (epidermis). This principle involves the ionisation of gases from the air to create a micro electrical discharge causing sublimation (directly turns a solid substance into a gas).  The excess skin is sublimated.

This creates an immediate contraction of the skin tissue on the surface and also creates thermal disruption in the dermis.  The probe never touches the skin. By targeting fibroblasts in the dermis, we stimulate collagen and elastin. This controlled trauma creates an inflammatory response. The arc creates tiny carbon crusts which look like freckles and fall off around days 4-7 leaving tightened, fresh and rejuvenated skin.

After Care Information

Immediately after the treatment, small, usually non-bleeding scabs, which can be covered with make-up after 1 to 2 days, can be seen, depending on the treatment.

In the first 1 to 3 days after the treatment, swelling of different severity may occur. After 5 to 7 days, the small brown dots resulting from treatment and wound healing have disappeared. After 3-4 week light redness is no longer visible.

In extreme cases (especially if a client failed to follow the after- care advice), the swelling can last several days and initially interfere with vision.

On rare occasions, there have been reports of hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to the local anaesthetic, wound healing problems, skin infections, scarring, slight swelling, redness, tingling, the occurrence of herpes simplex (cold sore) and skin depigmentation (whitening).

Please inform your technician immediately if there are signs of infection such as excessive redness, pus, blisters or thick, yellow crusts or if any other unexpected side effects occur in the post-treatment period.

Never pick or scratch!

It is important that the resulting scabs/crusts are not removed. (Never scratch, it may result in scarring) Instead, twice daily in the morning and in the evening, gently dab the areas with luke warm pre-boiled water and dab dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.

Do not use Alcohol based cleansers.

You can use ice packs for the first 48 hours, on the evening of your treatment, 10 mins on 10 mins off.  Again, the following morning and evening.  Ensure the ice pack is covered with a tissue so the treated area is not getting wet from the condensation.

It is recommended that you sleep elevated for the first 3 nights, this will help the lymph fluid drain away.

Do not cover with plasters or occlusive dressings.

Occasional weeping will settle.

Any burning sensation will soon reduce.

Anti-inflammatory/anti-histamine medication can help; ibuprofen can be taken if the area is uncomfortable.

After the crusts peel off, a new, pink skin emerges. This skin must be protected from direct sunlight with a high UV protection factor (30 or above) for at least 3 months.

Sports, swimming and saunas are only permitted once all the crusts have fallen off and the wound is completely closed/dry. The after-care is the most important part of the treatment and must be observed.

For smokers, a considerable deterioration of the blood flow in the wound area can occur, which significantly increases the risk of wound healing problems or a slowed wound healing!

Note that after the crusts have fallen off, a slight redness may remain, It usually takes 2 to 4 weeks until the skin regains its normal color; it can however take 2 to 3 months depending on the skin type and the individual.

Once the scabs/brown dots have fallen off start to apply only the recommended Aftercare cream twice daily as recommended by your technician.

DO NOT APPLY CREAM BEFORE SCABS HAVE FALLEN OFF.

FAQ

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect afterwards?

PlasmaLift treatments are very safe. On rare occasions, there have been reports of hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to the local anaesthetic, wound healing problems, skin infections, scarring, slight swelling, redness, tingling, the occurrence of herpes simplex (cold sore) and skin depigmentation (whitening).

Straight after the procedure, the area treated will be red and have mild swelling. This can last for 1-3 days. The small carbon dots will dry, becoming small brown crusts. These small crusts need to heal naturally, they will start to fall off on their own. Under any circumstances they must not be picked or scratched off. This process may take from 5-14 days. By day 3 you may apply makeup that will be explained to you on the day of your procedure.

Once the crusts have fallen off it is imperative that you use the recommended aftercare and use an SPF 50 sunscreen.

Absolutely no sun on the area without protection for 3 months.

How does it work?

The PlasmaLift machine conductor tip creates a tiny plasma flash from the tip (similar to a tiny lightning bolt). The tip does not touch the skin. The plasma lightning jumps from the tip to the skin and evaporates, leaving very small superficial brown carbon spots that look like a freckles.

There is no heat to the surrounding skin. These small spots draw the skin together in their direct environment and shrink the excess skin. We follow a specific pattern to set the points to look like a grid (a reduction grid).

This is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that shrinks excess skin, bags and wrinkles!

This treatment protocol is also used for other areas of the face/body.

How long does the treatment take?

We allow 90 minutes including time for the anaesthetic to work and consent forms to be completed.  You will be informed of where to purchase anaesthetic cream that can be administered during your treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

One treatment is often enough depending on skin type, severity of wrinkles and client’s expectation. For some a 2nd or even 3rd treatment may be required to achieve the desired outcome, follow up treatments can be carried out after 8-12 weeks.

Is the procedure safe?

Yes most definitely. It is state-of-the-art technology, our machine is made in Germany and of the highest quality, It is certified by European CE. This means it meets high safety, health and environmental protection requirements.

How long will results last?

Typically around 2-5 years, but is subject to the number of treatments you may require, your lifestyle and how you personally age. You will continue to age and your skin will continue to relax as part of the normal ageing process, and eventually you may see problems such as wrinkles and saggy skin re-appear However the PlasmaLift treatment can simply be repeated again.

When will I see the results?

Results can usually be seen immediately, full results should be visible after 2-4 weeks however the treated area will continue to improve for 2-3 months. Results are expected to last 2-3 years, the treatment can be repeated.
