Am I suitable for an Alpha Shape Pro Treatment?

These treatments are recommended for people between the ages of 25-70 who are concerned with stubborn areas of fat, cellulite or sagging skin, particularly those areas that show signs of ageing and have not responded to exercise. Patients with relatively good skin elasticity or “spring back” respond more readily to the treatment. Younger patients may see more dramatic responses. Patients with poor skin texture many have more modest results or require more frequent treatments. Anyone seeking skin tightening and shaping but hoping to avoid discomfort of surgery may benefit from this technology.

What does the treatment involve?

The computer-controlled device is guided over the treatment area. You will feel a warm sensation like a hot stone massage. During the procedure the radio waves warm the skin to 40-42 degrees Celsius over 4-6 minutes per treated area. The skin responds by immediately tightening existing collagen and will continue by creating new collagen over the next 2-3 months. Individual responses vary, but patients generally see firmer, tighter, more sculptured smoother skin texture develop over this period.

How many treatments do I need?

Typically, 4-6 treatment sessions spaced 2-4 weeks apart are recommended. Clients can experience results after the first few treatments, with many noticing an improvement straight away, the results will continue to improve with each additional session.

Who is Not suitable for this treatment?

Clients that are pregnant/lactating women, people with pacemakers, electronic implantable devices, metal implants in the treatment area, have silicone fillers or have infections in the treatment area cannot have this treatment.

What can I expect following the treatment?

Some pinkness on the treated area may last for about 15-30 minutes. There is no down time, adverse effects are uncommon and mild in nature. Mild redness or hive-like reactions are possible but rare.

You should increase water intake the day before, day of your treatment and after your treatment. This will allow you lymphatic system to work more efficiently, so you get the very best out of each treatment you have.

What happens after your sessions are complete?

As Maintenance, Clients should plan to have 1-2 sessions every 6 months following any type of skin tightening therapy. It’s also fantastic for maintaining after other advanced treatments like HIFU and Plasma.
